Eighteen guild members and 1 guest attended the November Meeting.
The Christmas Snack & Weave on December 6th was discussed and
planned. We will start at 6:00 rather than 6:30. Members should bring
a snack to share. Steaming hot wassil will be served. The guild
will provide plates, cups, silverware and napkins.
JoAnn will be leading a small Christmas Boot project at the
Snack & Weave. She cautioned it will take several hours to
complete despite its small size.
Needed for the project:
6 spokes of 11/64th at 12" long
11/64th for weavers- use VERY flexible reed
#1 or #0 round reed
JoAnn will bring extra materials if anyone needs any.
Darleen mentioned her friend Darlene's silent auction, bake sale and
luncheon on December 11 to benefit the Sarnelli orphanage in Thailand
and the Harison Mission in Kenya. ( I'll do a separate post on these)
Darleen is also helping her friend collect matchbox cars and Beanie
Babies that Darlene will take along with her to Thailand next summer
to give to the children.
JoAnn's husband Don just published a book. ( I'll do a post on that too!)
Most guild members came very close to finishing their Christmas
Stocking Baskets. Thank you to Dawn and Marty for leading the weave.
