Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Update on the Amish Tray

Note from Marty:

"I tried to weave the base of the Amish Tray using just 2 colors of reed. It turns out looking good but is a little harder to remember the counts. You could make it easier if you divided the cut reed into the correct number for each change of color listed on the pattern. I'm not sure if I worded that correctly or not."

I understood Marty.... and suggested coloring the ends of the reed with Sharpie Markers. I have multiple colors of markers at home and will bring a few next week. ( I have not gotten around to dying my reed yet-I may have to color the whole length with Sharpie Marker-wonder if that would work?!)
