Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

14 January Guild Minutes

The meeting was called to order by our president, Sue, at 6:07.

Secretary's report was approved with no additions or corrections.

The treasurer stated that we have $480.49 in our account.

JoAnn introduced two new members to our guild.  Their names are Julie and Sue  Their contact information will be available at the next meeting.  We welcome all the new member who have recently joined.  It is so nice to see so many new faces in our group!

In old business, the March 29th, Saturday Weave was discussed.   Sue would like the weaving to begin by 9:30.

Our February meeting will be dedicated to finishing the Potato Basket led by Dawn and Marlene.  Once again, the March and April project will be "Ode to Joy".  I will be posting the materials list for The Ode to Joy and Shadow Weave, the Saturday weave project.  Check our blog for that information.

Two beautiful baskets were on display that were made from the gifts received at the White Elephant Gift Exchange from the Christmas party.  Thanks for sharing Pat and Ann!
