The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

May 15, 2015 Minutes

Sue called the meeting to order at 6:00.  There were 14 members in attendance.

Treasurer's Report:  Patti was absent but reported no changes to the account.

Secretary's Report:  No corrections or additions.

Old Business:  June's meeting will be our end of the year Weave and Feed which will be a pot luck.   There will be weaving choices for the night.  You can bring a basket to rim and JoAnn will teach a very nice looking rim finish (I think the rim would look nicest done in a dyed reed.) or there will be flower embellishments made from 1/4" flat dyed reed.

Elections will be held at the June meeting.  Krista will become President, other positions open will be: Vice President (who will become president at next election), Secretary, and Treasurer.

The September basket will be a Potato Masher Basket led by Marlene.   She suggested you look at rummage sales or Goodwill for a LONG handled potato masher.

New Business:  There are possible outside teachers for the Saturday Weaves, Diann Gleixner, Ann Urso, and Barb Johnson.  It would be nice to have this decided now so plans can be finalized with time to spare.  Also the members would like the calendar to be filled early for who will lead at the monthly meetings.

Bring ideas, baskets that you would like to work on at the monthly meetings.

JoAnn, Sharon, and Karen brought along baskets for "Show and Tell".  We are so lucky to have so many talented weavers in our guild.  Thanks for sharing!

Barb made a motion to adjourn, with Geri seconding.
