JoAnn's husband Don Lewis has published a book entitled,
"Sophia, Brigette and Me".
The Abstract from Buy Books on the Web says:
" Sophia, Brigitte and Me is the life
story of Don Lewis, born in September 1934, between the
birthdays of Sophia Loren and Brigitte Bardot. While he
never made it to Hollywood, the onetime Babbitz Avenue Commando
did sing on stage at Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, was interviewed by Tex Ritter
and chauffeured by Hank Williams Jr. And although he never won an Oscar, he did win a three-foot-high trophy with a gold tractor atop it."
You can go HERE to read about the book.
On that site there is a link to read a excerpt of the book. Don is a good story teller and it seems like a fun book to read. Who knows what we will find out about JoAnn! I love Don's sense of humor as he said of the 378 pages, "It will make a nice doorstop!"
The book is for sale at the above link but also locally at Apple Blossom Books in Oshkosh. He has a book-signing party scheduled there for 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
