Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

September 4th Guild Meeting


Hard to believe next week is our September Guild Meeting. I say it every year, but just where did the summer go?

We will be weaving the outer wall of the " Nature Basket". Don't forget to bring yarns, fibers, vines and such to weave into the outer wall. Sue is weaving some shiny glitzy beads into her basket and it looks great. With this basket's free form; Anything Goes .......

Last week Sue discovered a minor mistake in the directions I made up for the Double Wall Basket.
On page two, the first paragraph, the last sentence, I say "With 1/4 " flat oval weave several start stop rows."
Well, it works better if you just trim one end of the weaver for about 6" and weave it continuously.
