Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Materials Needed for October 2nd

Several members pointed out to me that lots of information was sent out on how to prepare the gourd but very little on what to bring to our Guild Meeting on Thursday, October 2nd.

JoAnn said to bring:

1. Round reed for spokes to fit the hole size that you drilled. These spokes can be cut to 18" if you want to get a head start.

2. Something to use as weavers: more round, small flat or flat oval, pine needles, beads etc,
