Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Woven Wicker Motorcycle

I like to check out the blog Craftzine as it has some creative ideas; like using old tshirts to make book covers. (Yes, kids still have to cover their books in school). Then it has the really strange items like the knitted heart and a woven motorcycle.

Usually I can just drag a picture onto my desktop and insert it into the blog but for some reason I can not do that with this woven motorcycle. So, you will have to go to the website yourself. Click HERE to go to Craftzine. If there have been more posts you may have to click January 2009 under 'Craft Archives' on the right. The motorcycle was posted on January 27th.

While you are scrolling down to the motorcycle, check out the furry chair that looks like a teddy bear. I have no comment on the jewelry made from Barbie parts!
