Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Do You Need a Base & Pattern ?

October's project, the largest of the nesting twill bowls involves "homework". Most of you picked up the pattern and a 6" slotted base at the September meeting. Weave the basket up to the point you start to work the twill weave. I think it is just easier to add 48 spokes and then 48 MORE spokes "in the privacy of your own home. If you don't have time that is fine also, we can do it at the meeting on Thursday, October 1st.


BUT, I should have kept a written record of who took bases at our September meeting. JoAnn actually ordered the bases for me and will not be at the October meeting.

So, I need to know :

1. Who else wants a 6" wooden base? Please email me if you want one as soon as possible. ( I have 5 with me, but if I need more, I will need to get them from JoAnn before she leaves)
Bases are $3.50

2. Also, please let me know if you would like me to email the instructions to you.
