Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Basketweavers sought for Sorghum Fest

Pam Duborg from the Savanna Oaks Community Center in Fall River (10 miles south of Beaver Dam) is looking for people to demonstrate basket weaving as part of their "Lost Art" Exhibit at the 2010 Sorghum Fest on Saturday, September 18th, from 9am to 3pm.

They are primary looking for actual demonstrations of basket weaving but are OK with members also selling their baskets. Pam says the Sorghum Fest draws more and more people each year and they seem to love the lost art demonstrations.
