Marty opened meeting at 6:33.
Ten members in attendance.
Sara brought membership lists for everyone.
All Day Weave
There was discussion of the all day weave on Saturday. The cost for bases and handles is $13.70. Checks or cash should go to Judy S. She reminded us to bring our own reed.
You will need:
5/8” flat for spokes (30 @ 10”).
¼” flat oval natural and dyed for weavers,
3/8” flat for rim row,
#2 or #3 dyed for twining,
5/8: FO for rims, sea grass,
3/16 FO for lashing.
It was suggested that those of us who purchased our base and handle at the meeting try to get spokes in and 2-3 rows of weave done ere we get to the library as it will go much faster for all.
Also be sure to bring your own beverage.
We are all bringing food to share for our lunches.
Show and Share
There were several lovely “show and tell” baskets. Jo Ann had 4 or 5 really nice ones. One double wall with a straight sided inside and a puffed out outer one. Marty brought a neat large square on with twill design. Sue A. had one with our crossover design which Sara was leading.
December Project
We were reminded that Dec. meeting will start at 6:00 with a pot luck and your own beverage.
Jo Ann will be leading a small round basket in Dec. Pattern to follow on e-mail (my printer is on the fritz until I get my geek to come). You will not need to print it out as she’ll bring copies for us. She’ll have colored reed with her but we could bring our own:
3/8 FF
#2 for twining.
11/64 FO
3/16 FO
and some sea grass.
Jo Ann also bringing the brass bells.
We need leaders for meetings in Jan., Feb., and Mar. Somebody please step up and let Marty know you are available and what you would like to do!!!
No other business so Mary J moved to adjourn/Krista second and we got to work on the cross over design Sara had suggested.
