Although Sara has become my #1 blogging student and can easily post on the blog by herself, she still has kindly kept my email address in her group emails to Guild members. Since Sara sent it, I glanced through the minutes of the February 2nd meeting and was shocked to see my own name. My eyes teared up and all I could think of was what a incredibly thoughtful group of ladies you all are. My heartfelt thanks to Dawn for making the motion and to all who accepted it.
I do miss all of you and Sue and I have discussed driving over for a visit sometime. For the record, I did actually weave AND FINISH two baskets in 2011. One was a little basket accented with a bow that Marlene taught back in 20?? ( more than a few years ago!). I still have too many unfinished guild baskets downstairs in what my husband calls "The Tomb of the Unfinished Basket".
Again, thank you so much for thinking of me. I enjoy blogging so it never really was a bother for me to help the guild. But I also administer two other blogs, so the fact that Sara has taken over most of the Guild's blog allows me to put more effort into the others. On the other hand, as Sara becomes more proficient you may wish I was totally out of here! As I logged in to write my thank you post, I noticed I had left the blog rather dull and drab. So forgive me Sara as I meddled a bit; brighter colors, some font changes - I think a desire for Spring and the colors that come with it. And, hopefully one of these nice spring nights maybe I will drive over to just say "hello".
