Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Shadows Basket

I grabbed this photo and description of the Shadows basket off of Annette Raayeveld's website for you.
Size 7.5”W x 10.5”L – Height 3.5”

This unusual basket is both double walled and rimless. Beginning with an oak base, the students will concentrate shaping an oval basket. Then the walls are “rolled-over” and color is introduced. The eye catching design is created using several waling (twining) and color change techniques.

Please Remember we are meeting April 12th rather than the first Thursday.
