Minutes..Guild April 12^th

Marty opened meeting at 6:14. We had 10 members in attendance. Treasurer reported us with a balance of $508.92. Under old business, Sue A. has agreed to serve as VP. Marlene will lead us in the June meeting. We are all set up for our all day weave on May 19^th at the Ripon Library starting at 9.AM. We decided that everyone will bring something (pot Luck) for our lunch so that we don’t need to go out. We will be making a large bushel type basket with a zigzag pattern. Jo Ann will be leading and she thinks the reed kit with handles etc. complete will be about $35.00. Be sure to let her know if you plan to attend so that she can order enuf for all those wanting to make it. Jo Ann is back from Gulf Shores and she has been really busy weaving..so much so that we had to go out to her car to admire them as there were too many to carry in and then out again. No one else brought any baskets for show and tell. As there was no new business, we adjourned meeting at 6:25 and got started on our “shadows” baskets. Dawn had dyed reed in three colors for $2.75 if anyone needed it. Several of us had started on our inner wall which was helpful so that we could see how things were going to turn out. Dawn and Marty had several pointers that were very helpful also. We will be finishing these baskets at our May meeting. The outer wall will be “interesting” to do…
