Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Minutes of Jan. 3rd meeting of the guild:

Treasurer reports a balance of $475.49.
 The spring / summer weave is set for July 27th
Only 8 members attending  this month.
Sara will lead us in Feb. making  a woven heart.   Please see the picture below.


Please be sure to bring:
     - small bottle of super glue
     - several tiny clamps
     - 8 pieces of 1/4 inch reed that are 6 1/2 inches long (colored or not)
     - a piece of ribbon (12 inches)

We Need some one to step up and take the lead in March.
Otherwise we can consider a UFO nite but members are supposed to take turns leading.
Call Marty if you can take the March meeting or the one in April, May, or June. 
We need to decide if we should order patterns for everyone or only for the ones who are actually making the basket.  Discussion was tabled until we have more in attendance.
