Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Minutes of guild meeting April 4th '13.  14 members in attendance. Marty opened meeting at 6:03. Ann is sending a plant to Sue to cheer her on her recovery.  Treasurer reports $ 475.49.  There was much discussion about copy write law and the copying of patterns.  Many patterns are free and can be copied.  If you are leading a basket where the pattern is not free, let the members know the previous month so that you can order enough patterns for those who wish a copy.

Jo Ann brought all sorts of new baskets from her trip to the south.  Krista had a beauty and Ann had the two wine baskets she will be leading in May.  Both use the same sized handle but members need to let her know if you will be making one so that she can order the correct number.  Pictures are available but I'm having an issue about getting them here so keep checking blog often and I'll keep working on it.

The All Day Weave is set for July 27th.  We're checking to see if church is free that day as library in Ripon closes at noon in the summer so will be unavailable.

June will be a UFO and a "dish to pass" night.
