march guild minutes

Sue called our March meeting to order at 6:07 pm on March 6, 2014.

Secretary's report was filed without corrections or changes.

Patti, our Treasurer, reported that we have $525.49 in our account.

In Old Business, our Saturday Weave was discussed.  The date is Saturday, March 29, weaving to begin at 9:30 am.  Sue made the suggestion that we have a Taco Bar for our meal rather than just pot luck.  A sign up sheet was passed around with choices as what to bring.

In New Business, Judy and Stephanie have volunteered to run our May guild weave which is called Baker's Basket, created by Susan Moore.  There will be a charge of $8.00 for the special size handle that is needed for it.
June will be our end of the weaving year "Weave and Feed."

Krista found a new website with free patterns:  www.basketmakerscatalog.com
One of the patterns that she found gave excellent directions as to how to make a God's Eye for attaching handles to baskets.

Krista also made the motion to adjourn which was seconded by Geri.
