Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Just interesting….

If you don't like my surprise posts, please tell me. I sometimes just get excited. Lately the "Facebook Basket Weavers: basketry, gourd weaving & more! "Group has been posting some interesting baskets and weavers.

This morning a weaver from North Carolina, Matt Tommey, posted a few of his baskets. I love his philosophy, "Every Basket begins with a walk in the woods".  He works with vines, barks, kudzu and copper. HERE is the link to his site. I will also put his link on the list on the right.
