Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Meeting September 4, 2014

Another basket year is gearing up 
September 4th. 

Project:  Hanging Cane Basket
Pattern by Tressa Sularz
Led by Sue A.








Materials:  3/16 FO reed       
spokes  8 @ 11".        3 @ 13"

For those of you with Smart phones, you might want to add a couple of inches on to the spokes for this one to accommodate the larger size of that style of phone.  But only if you plan to use the basket for that purpose! 

                                          
Weavers:  chair cane medium or fine or ⅛" FO (3mm)

Cord for hanging:  waxed linen, leather boot lace, cord or what ever you might have

 Mold: bring a small (3 oz) pudding box


 We will need to order the patterns so please email Krista with your order as soon as possible.

Kits will also be available with advanced order $5.00 each.   Send to same as above.

 We are still looking for a volunteer to lead in October!
