Our leaders for the day will be Ann & Sue. Guild will provide the blue reed if you would like it in blue. You will need to bring your own natural. See Discombobulated Materials list. Contact Krista for patterns, bases $8 and handles: $12 braided leather and $7 flat leather.

APRIL MEETING
Dawn will lead both meetings in April. We will start the Old World Market Baskets at our regular meeting April 7th, and finish all of them on a Saturday, April 23rd @ the church. We ask that you bring the unstained, finished baskets to the May meeting for donating. All of the reed will be purchased by the guild and Dawn will cut the stakes in advance for this project. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Dawn! Discussion was then led into when and who would like to go to Old World Wisconsin sometime in May to deliver the baskets. Everyone is invited, more at the April meeting. Old World is located in Eagle, WI.

NEW BUSINESS
Discussed ideas for our June weave, any volunteers?

SHOW & TELL
  • JoAnn brought in several baskets that she made this winter. She’s very creative with making beautiful baskets and adorning them with different embellishments.
  • Barb J. showed off her very pretty Napkin Basket, Japanese style.
We are blessed to have both these ladies in our guild!

Other members shared the following websites for us to visit to get our creative juices flowing:
Jill Choate has a website with free patterns and tutorials: http://www.jchoatebasketry.com/
Another website to visit: https://www.joannascollections.com/ March’s free pattern is an Easter basket. Krista shared the pattern for anyone interested.

WARNING: don’t visit either of these sites unless you have time to browse – so many outstanding baskets on these sites that you’ll lose all track of time. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Meeting was adjourned by 6:40 p.m.
For the remainder of the evening the guild worked on the Quarter Basket led by Karen.
