Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

May 2, 2019 Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Sue, Vice-President @ 6:00 p.m.
10 members present

This Saturday is our Spring Weave (May 11). Weaving will be from 9:00 to 3:00 and we'll have a potluck at the church. Thank you for signing up for what “luck” you'll be sharing to eat that day. The food theme is PICNIC.

Our June meeting will be our annual election of officers and Potluck. Think about volunteering or nominating someone as Vice-President and President. Also, we will be making Josephine Knots. You will need to bring #6 Round cut into six pieces @ 50”.

September we will weave a basket from scraps from everyone's inventory. More information on next month's blog.

NEW BUSINESS
We have two propective dates for our annual Fall Weave, which will be a Friday evening and an all day Saturday. Krista emailed the choices of the baskets for the two different days.We will vote on the following dates for those interested:

October 18 & 19 or Octobesr 25 & 26.
