Meeting
was called to order by Denise, President @ 6:00 p.m.
15
members were present
Annual
dues are now due ($25).
October
we will weave the Antique Storage basket, compliments of Suzanne
Moore's NC Basket Works. Please go to www.ncbasketworks.com
to print off your pattern and supply list. Jacket covers will be
handed out at the next meeting. If you'd like to save the guild
money, you can furnish your own and we'll be grateful.
Ellie
Lida will be our instructor for our annual Potluck Fall Weave, two
days back-to-back are scheduled: Friday, October 18 at 5:00-8:30 p.m.
and on Saturday, October 19 at 8:30-5:00 p.m. at the church. Watch
for your email from Krista regarding your choice of reed color and
please respond to her immediately.
Just
a reminder:
Future
potlucks and all day weaves are going green. This will not only help
save the environment, but will save our guild a sum of money. Please
bring your own table setting for potlucks. Keep at least one setting
in your vehicle in a shopping bag so you do not forget. Also, we will
now have sign up sheets for set-up, clean-up, and food on these
occasions.
Our
spring weave committee consists of Ann and Denise, more information
will follow in the coming months.

Show
& Tell
My
bad, I didn't take any pictures ladies. My apologies.
Here's
a big shout out to the creative ladies of our guild that brought
their summer weavings to share:
Patti,
Sharon, Dawn, Krista and Geri.
We're
trying to fill the year with monthly basket weavings. Check the guild
calendar on our blog for what's scheduled. Perhaps you'd like to show
us your stuff and teach us something new at a meeting that is open.
Let your officers know so your choice month can be blocked.
You
might also notice on our blog a picture of our "Dipping Day"
at Judy's back in July. We had a few leather strapped totes that we
dipped. Judy & Stephanie were great hostesses, thank you both!
Meeting
adjourned @ 6:24 p.m.
