Guild Minutes from October 6, 2011

Marty called meeting to order at 6:32.
The minutes from September 1st were approved.
Judy reported we have $492.62 in our treasury.
We had 15 members in attendance

Old Business
Everyone remembered to bring a donation for the church. The church is having their Chili Supper, Lunch, and Craft sale on October 20th.  Lunch is 11:30-1:30 and supper is 5:30 -7:30.  Lets try to attend and be supportive.
Most of us have paid our dues so Sara will be making a new membership list for distribution in November.

New Business

Saturday Weave November 5th
Pat has reserved the Ripon library for  November 5th for our fall weave.  Several baskets were discussed but I don’t believe a consensus was reached.  Somebody will make a decision for us and we will be pleased with the choice I’m sure.

November 3rd Project
Sara brought two baskets with a cross over twill technique which she will lead in November.  We can make any size or shape basket as long as it has an even number of spokes.

Future Projects and Show and Share
Dawn and Marty will be leading a double wall basket (that Dawn had showed us previously) at the March and April meetings.  Sue A had a lovely cats head basket by Venie Hinson that had a marbleized middle row and an interesting beaded rim. She also had a lovely apple basket.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:50 (Marlene and Sara)
