Meeting was called to order 9:10 a.m.
Ten members were present.
The February minutes were approved after a correction. The TV basket is moved to May and the lashing technique is moved to Saturday, March 27, our Spring Weave date.
There will be NO MEETING IN APRIL at the church. The church is not available for use on April 1, 2021 due to Holy Week events. Guild members made a motion/approved to have the April meeting the same day as our Spring Weave on Saturday March 27, 2021. The lidded basket with seagrass accent pattern was sent to members last month via email. Please print your own pattern and bring your own lunch. This is a self taught workshop, and in addition, bring a rimmed basket ready to lash using the Lashing Technique over 3 behind 2.
Diane Gliexner is our FALL WEAVE leader on September 11, 2021. Diane will be forwarding six new basket designs and she is willing to teach all six. The baskets information should be available for viewing the day of our Spring weave. JoAnn will be getting back with her on final selections.
Discussions were made to move our meetings from Thursday evenings to Saturday mornings starting in the fall 2021. We will be voting at our May meeting.
Peggy has connections to having electrified bases done for us at $10 dollars each, in addition to the cost of your base. It was suggested that members should use the same size bases for him to electrify. Members need to bring suggestions for basket to weave with the electrified base.
LIBRARY PATTERNS - Discussion of dissolving the library patterns and storing what we have. Please think about this for future discussion.
Reminder: Election of officers for the next two years will be at our June 2021 meeting.
