Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Weaving Information

Usually when I am clicking around basket weaving websites I am just looking for free patterns.

But, recently I was on The County Seat and found some really great general information about reed, dyeing reed, attaching handles, shaping tips and just becoming a better weaver.

I was particularly interested in their Reed Chart ( found under FAQ's about Basket Weaving). A handy little chart that shows the approximate feet in a pound of reed (by size and type of reed).
