Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Minutes of the March 6th Meeting

Minutes from the March 6th Guild Meeting

Nine members of the Guild met on March 6th for a UFO night. Marlene reported the treasury balance remains $558.18. There was discussion as to how best to spend some of this money. JoAnn volunteered to contact a teacher of pine needle basket weaving. The pine needle workshop is tentatively set for April 26th.

Updated membership lists were distributed.

Stephanie shared a cute heart shaped wall pocket and JoAnn displayed a few of the 20 baskets she made while on "vacation" at Gulf Shores.

April Project
It was decided that JoAnn will lead a 9"x9"x9" basket called "Block Party", for our April 3rd Guild Meeting. The basket uses 3/8" flat for both spokes and weavers in natural and colored.

JoAnn does have some colored reed available and if you were not at the meeting you should contact JoAnn before March 15th if you want her to get some for you. JoAnn also said the basket could be made in 1/2" flat natural and colored reed. A complete materials list will be emailed shortly.
