April Materials

JoAnn will be leading a basket called Block Party for our April 3rd Meeting. The 9" by 9" by 9" basket is worked in 2 colors (natural and one color) forming large "squares" of color.

JoAnn said she will have dyed reed available. But, if you are bringing your own dyed reed, the 3/8" FLAT NATURAL AND 3/8" FLAT DYED IS USED FOR BOTH SPOKES AND WEAVERS SO.....quite a bit of dyed reed is needed.

JoAnn also mentioned the basket could be woven with 1/2" flat natural and 1/2" flat dyed reed but the basket will be slightly larger.

Materials

3/8" flat natural AND 3/8" flat dyed -- used for BOTH spokes and weavers
5/8" flat for rims
seagrass
1/4" flat oval for lasher

To Prepare for Guild

Cut 10 spokes 30" long from the 3/8" flat natural and 3/8" flat dyed
