Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

February 2, 2017 Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order @ 6:03 p.m. by Krista, President.
The December minutes were approved without changes by everyone.
Roll call attendance was taken by Geri, Secretary.
Treasurer’s report was given by Patti.

Saturday Spring Weave -
March 4, 2017 @ 9 a.m. @ the church. POTLUCK. Marla Sunstom has been hired and she sent options for us. The exact basket to weave was voted on at the last meeting. If you didn’t attend, please send your vote to Krista ASAP. CHECK YOUR JANUARY 31 EMAIL FROM KRISTA!
April – Marty will lead and it’s a surprise.
May – Sue will lead and show us rimming techniques. Here’s your chance to finish those baskets ladies…you know who I’m talking about.
June – Krista will lead and show us different versions of wrapping handles.
Saturday Fall Weave

November – JoAnn will lead teaching us the Slimcane Purse. Very pretty and useful.

Our meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m. For the remainder of the evening the guild worked on the adorable pin cushion basket and the Josephine Knot…not shown. Sorry ladies, next time.
