Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

April 6, 2017 Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order @ 6:10 p.m. by Krista, President.
The December minutes were approved without changes by everyone.
Roll call attendance was taken by Geri, Secretary.

UPCOMING MEETINGS

May – Sue will lead and show us rimming techniques. Bring a basket that needs to be rimmed.
  
June – ELECTION OF OFFICERS.  Krista will lead and show us different versions of wrapping handles. Bring a basket that needs rimming and/or paint sticks to practice on.
September – JoAnn will lead us to make a Slimcane Purse.
October – OPEN

Saturday Fall Weave
October 21, 2017 @ 9 a.m. @ church. POTLUCK. Annetta Kraayeveld will be our instructor, more info to follow. Top two baskets were voted on, the cost is $65 for the Twizarr [below left] and $60 for the Wrapped Up [below right] kits. http://www.prairiewoodbasketry.com/index.php/about-me/
November – Patti & Geri will lead making a Square Footed Storage Basket.
December – OPEN
January 2018 – Dawn will lead in making Easter Baskets.
February 2018 - OPEN

Our meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m. The remainder of the evening everyone worked on finishing up baskets and making cute birdhouses, led by Marty.
