October 4, 2018 Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Krista @ 6:05 p.m.
Attendance was taken by Geri, sixteen members were present. JoAnn brought a guest, Sue McIlraith.

September minutes were approved.

We're still working on volunteers to fill up our year's schedule. We need leaders for January, March, May and June 2019. Please consider instructing one of those months. PLEASE!

Patti rewrote our By-Laws and handed out the latest and greatest version to everyone. She will also email to everyone.

For the remainder of the night Patti will showed us how to weave a pine needle basket. Not an easy nor fast task, but very interesting, cute, and rewarding.

Saturday, October 6 was our all-day potluck weave with Mark Hendrickson. Most everyone wove both the amazing Nantucket Bell and Business Card Basket, both are Mark's creations. Mark proved to be a quality instructor with immense patience. Photos next month.

November / December: Krista, Nesting Baskets. Kits were handed out.
February: JoAnn, Twill Heart Basket (free pattern)
April: Ann, Double Rim Basket (free pattern)

Motions were made to adjourn the meeting @ 6:15 p.m.

Baskets brought in to show were from JoAnn: Trinket Box, Xs & Os, Oak Woven; and Sharon: Cambridge Tote w/straps. Nice work ladies!
