Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Pine Needle Plate Workshop



Pine Needle Plate Weaving Workshop
Saturday April 26th
Messiah Lutheran Church
9:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

* Sally Durkee from West Bend will be teaching the pine needle plate baskets pictured above. Cost for materials and plate will be about $28. She has a selection of different patterns on the plates ( animals, fern leaves, blueberries, etc) for us to choose from.

* Sally will be displaying some of her baskets; woven with pottery, pine needles and gourds. Some of the items from her business, Gifts of Love Pottery, such as pottery handles and tie ons will be available for purchase. You can click HERE to see some of her work. *If you want to see Sally's work earlier, she will be at the Oshkosh Altrusa Clubs "Art in the Garden" Sale March 29 and 30 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oshkosh by the Airport. Click HERE for their link.

* We will discuss at the April 3rd meeting how we want to handle lunch that day ( bring a sack, pot luck or have something delivered in)

* At the April Guild meeting there will be a sign up for those who plan to attend the workshop, but if you know right away email loftymaples@charter.net
