Weaving with Silver Creek

Silver Creek Basket Guild meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, unless it's a holiday weekend we meet on the 2nd Saturday. September through June at 9:00 a.m. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, Wisconsin.

Annual dues are $25

The membership is open to experienced basket weavers
(who understand the terminology, and are able to independently weave a round and a square base).

Minutes April 3 Meeting

April 3 Minutes

Fifteen members and one guest attended the April 3,2008 meeting of Silver Creek Basket Guild. During the informal business meeting Marlene reported the treasury balance remained unchanged at $558.18.

Three additional members signed up for the Pine Needle Plate Workshop on April 26th, bringing the total to 11 participants. Discussion about lunch options during the workshop resulting in the decision to order two pizzas from Pizza Hut.

Updated membership lists were distributed and a program sheet was passed around asking for volunteers to lead a project. Darleen brought two "old" double bottomed round baskets to see if there was interest in making them for a program in the future. Members seemed interested and she will lead the basket next winter.

There were no baskets to show and share and although Judy didn't make any baskets during her vacation, (like JoAnn) we all admired her tan!
