Old Business
Election of Offices, After some coercion the following members have been elected to become our new officers from September 2009 to June of 2011.
President- Pat
Vice President- Marty
Treasurer - Ann
Recording Co-Secretaries - Lori and Sara
Corresponding Secretary - Elizabeth
Blog Administrator - Darleen agreed to continue but is more than willing to help someone learn.

Dues will remain at $15.00

Members are reminded to look for a plastic OR glass bowl (see note below*) for the October Twill Basket. The base should be about 6", top diameter about 12" and height about 6". It will be easier to weave if the bowl is somewhat flexible and has no rim or a small rim. As JoAnn mentioned, the basket CAN be woven without a form also. Orders for bases will occur in September.

New Business

Pat suggested a UFO summer weave at the library and will contact the library. Check your email and the blog occasionally for information about date and time. (those without will be phoned)

Marty made the motion to adjourn and eat. Motion was seconded by Marie.

Again the food was fantastic. Many weavers got close to completing the sides of their tall toilet tissue basket. Thanks Ann for leading.
*Bowl Update----I am currently weaving the basket around my GLASS Pyrex 4.5 quart bowl. ( base is 5 1/2, top is 11 and height is 4 1/2) I have to be a little careful but it is not bad. I duct taped the bowl inside and worked upside down for a few rows. This is one bowl in a set of 4 graduated bowls, so watch for a picture when I get all 4 bowls covered!
